Angela Moy. Game Design

I decided to pursue Game Design because of my fascination with how games evoke emotion. I am especially interested in how games have evolved into entertainment that connects people, showing the potential of games. The boundaries of games are unlimited and there are so many ways to make people enjoy them as much as I do. I want to continue bettering my skills so that I can work on making games.

High school diploma

Oakland Technical High School

Oakland, CA · August 2011 – June 2015

In high school, I spent a lot of time volunteering for an organization called buildOn. During junior year, I was even able to go to Haiti for two weeks to help begin building a school in a mountain village. There was also a Computer Academy program that I participated in where we learned how to code in Java. I was also a part of Girls Who Code for a year where we had to create a design for an App.

As part of my major, I have taken many classes relating to media creation and designing games. Some of the courses have allowed me to learn skills for software like Zbrush and Unity. I have learned about narrative and game systems. For my senior capstone project, I am on two teams working to create two games. I work on both teams as  narrative designer, level designer, and 3D modeler.
