Lost
Background
My partner and I had to create a game with Game Maker in Visual Communication & Interaction Design class. We decided to create a game that had more of a story to it. We designed the game to be about the player learning about his tragic love story. The player starts out clueless but we decided to have objects that have mini-flashbacks to give hints to the player that he is gay. We wanted the game to really project the hardship of not being accepted by the person they love and we found music to really amp up the atmosphere of the game. The twist is that the player and character finds out that they are in limbo and must choose between life and death. We both worked on programming the movement of the player and I worked with adding the music into the game.
